Collins & Associates, S.C. Firm Profile

William E. Collins, CPA, is the principal shareholder and president of Collins & Associates, S.C. Prior to that time, he was a partner in the same firm that operated under various names. He also was with a large national CPA firm prior to joining Collins & Associates, S.C. Mr. Collins has extensive experience in auditing and specializes in management advisory services related to auto dealerships, succession planning, mergers and acquisitions, sales of businesses and estate and tax planning. He has appeared as an expert witness in numerous court cases to determine the value of businesses, retirement plans, spousal and child support in divorce lawsuits and as an expert witness and advisor for business valuations. Mr. Collins is a member of the AICPA and WICPA. He has also served as president of the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce, the Prairie du Chien Downtown Revitalization Board, and the Prairie du Chien Industrial Development Corporation and was an instructor of accounting at a number of higher educational institutions. He has served on various boards as an advisor including The Freedom Honor Flight, Western Technical College Foundation and the Tax Advisory Board.

Jean A. Collins, CPA, is an officer and shareholder with Collins & Associates, S.C. Prior to that time, she was employed as a staff accountant with the firm Tostrud and Collins, S.C. Ms. Collins has experience in bookkeeping, compilations, reviews and audits of financial statements and specializes in tax planning and bookkeeping support. Ms. Collins is a member of the WICPA and served on the Prairie du Chien Chamber of Commerce for eight years, was a member of the Prairie du Chien Downtown Development Board and was a longtime member of the Prairie du Chien Women's Civic Club.

Rodney L. Sandleback, CPA, is the senior auditor with Collins & Associates, S.C. Prior to that time, he was the senior auditor with Tostrud & Collins, S.C. Mr. Sandleback has extensive experience in auditing various types of entities including manufacturing, not-for-profit, ERISA, housing authorities, governmental units, school districts and specializes in auditing and tax planning. Mr. Sandleback is a member of the WICPA, a charter member of the Prairie du Chien Lions Club and was active in the Parish Council at Prairie Catholic Schools.

Bradley R. Berthiaume, CPA, is an audit and tax specialist with Collins & Associates, S.C. Mr. Berthiaume has experience in bookkeeping, compilations, reviews and audits of financial statements in addition to tax planning and preparation for individuals, businesses, fiduciary, and not-for-profit entities. Mr. Berthiaume is a member of the La Crosse Kiwanis, BNI, Prairie du Chien Rotary, and the WICPA.

Marlene Vogt is head bookkeeping supervisor for Collins & Associates, S.C. Ms. Vogt is an expert in both Peachtree and QuickBooks and supervises the bookkeeping staff. She also has experience in audits of government units, completion and filing of Wisconsin Report Form C and Public Service Commission Reports in addition to preparing individual, business and not-for-profit tax returns.

Benjamin Collins, is a staff accountant at Collins & Associates, S.C.  Mr. Collins works in the bookkeeping, payroll and tax departments at the La Crosse office. He attended UW La Crosse after returning to the area from serving in the U.S. Navy.  Ben served on the USS Nimitz and did two tours in the Persian Gulf.  Prior to joining Collins & Associates, S.C. Ben worked in the auto industry. Ben enjoys living in the La Crosse area where he spends time with his family.  He enjoys traveling, skiing, hunting, and exploring the coulee region for new trout streams. 

Roberta Mason is a bookkeeper with Collins & Associates, S.C. She is experienced in all areas of payroll, payroll taxes, year end reports and W-2s. She is also a member of our tax team.

Lori Foley, is a bookkeeper and payroll specialist with Collins & Associates, S.C. She is experienced in all areas of payroll, payroll taxes, and year-end reports.
